SHA Spain tests a visiting-expert format for women’s longevity and cognition
The three-day June residency combined masterclasses, private sessions and a guest programme inside the resort.

The answer first
SHA Spain’s first Visiting Masters residency brought a women’s-health specialist and a neuroscience researcher into the property for talks, consultations and guest programming from 18–20 June 2026.
Why it matters
Luxury wellness properties are increasingly selling temporary access to recognised experts, not only treatments and accommodation.
What the residency included
SHA’s provider materials describe masterclasses, small-group conversations, a private dinner and a limited number of one-to-one sessions for guests staying during the residency. Themes included women’s longevity, hormonal health, cognitive performance and preventive wellbeing.
The programme was available only for three days, making it closer to an expert residency than a permanent clinic service.
The wider market signal
Wellness travel is moving toward event-like programming: a known expert, limited dates and a tightly framed subject can make a repeat property feel new. It also gives providers a way to test demand before creating a permanent department.
For consumers, the important distinction is whether a session is education, a clinical consultation or a treatment, and what follow-up exists after the stay.
Programme details come from SHA. Anecdotal did not attend or assess the consultations.
